172-Negative Comments About Filipinas

November 24, 2021

Recently I was watching a Tik Tok video (I am on Tik Tok now by the way) and saw a guy talking about his costs for marrying his wife; the wedding, immigration, vacation etc. Then I saw there were over 900 comments and I stopped after scrolling awhile because they were all negative. Such as “she will leave you”, just wait until after so and so many years”, “she will split after green card or citizenship”, “you will go broke after her family cleans you out asking for money” and so on. This sort of behavior happens all over the world so I don’t think the Filipinas are solely to blame. In fact, I don’t care to waste time blaming anyone, I just want things to get fixed or prevent problems from starting.

Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea for podcasts and Love Beyond The Sea for YouTube videos for straight talk to men about marriage to a Filipina. I don’t claim to know it all, but I’ve been married to a woman from the Philippines for six and a half years and we got married extremely fast; in less than eight weeks. What matters is what matters and I like to cover topics that are pertinent in a marriage to a woman.

With such a plethora of comments of impending doom, one would wonder why it is so popular still for a man to look thousands of miles for a wife. I mean, if it is guaranteed to end in disaster, then how is it that many such couples are doing well? Good results don’t just happen by accident, marriage to any woman requires the same skills with different emphasis depending on a variety of factors. Marrying someone from another country and culture, perhaps there is an age gap, and you have a recipe for…a solid and mutually satisfying marriage! It happens, still.

171-Lower Your Voice Talk Slower With Your Filipina

171-Lower Your Voice Talk Slower With Your Filipina

November 23, 2021

I wanted to make a video about one tip that would very much help you to get along with a Filipina if you are interested in pursuing one.  Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea where I am giving advice from my experience being married to a Filipina, to help foreign men thinking about doing the same. Not doing this would be a big turn off to any woman, especially a Filipina, and that is speaking too loudly and too fast.  I will link a playlist called Communication in the description box, but today’s emphasis is on manner of speech.

They say it isn’t what you say but how you say it. I keep hearing about how American men are loud, confrontational and talk too fast, that we have bad tempers.  I have to watch my temper and the way I talk to my Filipina wife.  She is coming from a society or culture where being argumentative is not approved of, especially in public, and I think many of us guys will need to be careful about not bludgeoning our spouse with our opinion or side of the story, if we feel strongly that we are in the right.

When we are in that mode, often the tone of our voice can result in friction with a Filipina, take my word for it. Obviously, not yelling at your Filipina is a good thing, but raising your voice just short of shouting is still going to result in tampo.  For me, I naturally conclude that the louder I talk, the more my point will get made, and while that might even be true, the manner I make my point could cause a rift between us. I won’t even get into facial expressions as I have heard since I was small that I get a look that could kill when I am upset. Even my wife has told me that. No, I am not going to demonstrate that for you. I think that is because I am very emotional, but I can’t use that to justify or excuse how I speak.

170 Age Gap Survey Philippines Yes it Matters!

170 Age Gap Survey Philippines Yes it Matters!

November 22, 2021

You have likely heard the remark that age is just a number when it comes to Filipinas and foreigners. It is expressed over and over but is it the way women from the Philippines really feel? We better look at that today, straight from the “horse’s mouth”. Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea to learn about managing a lasting marital relationship with a Filipina. I have about 850 videos and growing on the YouTube channel Love Beyond The Sea. I would like to ask Filipinas, when age is more than just a number, why is that so? What do you consider the downside to an age gap-relationship? When do you consider an age gap to be too much? I really am interested in knowing.

Myself, I am considerably older than my Filipina wife and have 26 videos in a playlist I will link called Younger Wife. With 850 videos, you know a certain amount need to be dedicated to this topic and today is no different, but this time, it comes from a survey. I will run through that and link it of course, and afterwards will add a few thoughts. In the link it does include how men feel about an age gap but I am going to focus on the women.

168-Don‘t Look for ”The One” to Marry, Just Marry ”Someone”

168-Don‘t Look for ”The One” to Marry, Just Marry ”Someone”

November 21, 2021

I am sure I have been asked before if I knew my Amazing Aiza was “the one” when I proposed to her on day 18 and married her on day 54, or have wondered about that. I will let you know today. Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea, a channel about marrying a Filipina and making it work. I want to make marriage great again! Casting Beyond The Sea podcasts can be found on Podbean and the website lvbts.com and a plethora of videos on YouTube on Love Beyond The Sea.

I have written a book available to you for a small cost as well. Was my wife really “the one” or was I lucky?
Perhaps my title is a bit misleading. I will link a couple of videos about “the one” and the idea of a soulmate. If you watch enough of my videos and I hope you do but not all at once, you’ll find that I don’t subscribe to the notion that out of all the women on the face of the earth, there is only one woman out there to marry or you will miss out. Maybe people mean “the right one” when they say “the one”? She was right enough for me, so I proposed to her early on, and we have been married for about six and a half years.

I think there are many women in the world that a single guy could marry, so many women you haven’t considered if you are insisting on someone close to your own zip code, which I had been. I want to dissuade you from latching on to too many specific things or features that you feel you must have. There should be some things you don’t budge on, but try to keep them to a minimum. Major in the majors not the minors.

Listen to the podcast and hopefully you will be encouraged to work on your list of must-haves so you can find the right someone to marry.

167-Is Companionship Your Greatest Need?

167-Is Companionship Your Greatest Need?

November 19, 2021

Have you ever said your greatest need is sex?  I have thought that about myself. I mean, that is why any man marries any woman, with few exceptions, in my opinion. I think that’s the way it is supposed to be. Sex is an incredible blessing to a married couple, but I think the need for that will be replaced later in life by something else; and that something else is also very important all the time.  Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea for help for men thinking about or already in a relationship with a Filipina. If companionship isn’t presently an older foreigner’s greatest need, it will be one day. I have many videos on YouTube on Love Beyond The Sea.

I doubt anyone wants to hear this, but our sexual vitality slowly drops from about age 30.  Testosterone decreases from then on, and many people today have experienced a greater decline than usual due to apparently environmental issues and other factors. Men’s testosterone levels today are lower than men their own age used to be.

I will link an article in the description box that goes into more detail about this. I am not going to challenge it because I have no reason to believe it isn’t true. Our desire for sex and the ability to enjoy it is going to naturally decline, it just seems to be declining at an abnormal rate, and along with it, our overall health and wellbeing.

I think that when a man is younger like a teenager, the desire for sex is great.  It doesn’t mean he knows how to be a good lover, but the need for release is very insistent. By the time many decades pass, things aren’t the same, and we all wish that wasn’t the case. It sucks. The decline varies of course within individuals. I don’t want to talk more about that because you can research this phenomenon of decreasing testosterone on your own. What I want to talk about is how this affects the older foreigner, whether blessed to be married to a Filipina or not.

I believe companionship is always going to be valued because it is always going to be needed. I am talking about more than just having someone around you, but having someone you are close to, that has your best interest in mind as you have theirs. That is something that should always exist in a marriage. I think it will mean even more to a man after all the excitement of sex sadly diminishes.

166-Is My Fil-Am Marriage What I thought it Would Be?

November 18, 2021

At Casting Beyond The Sea and Love Beyond The Sea on YouTube I am an equal opportunity employer. While older guys have long been familiar with and certainly willing to go to the Philippines to look for a wife, I don’t hear much about younger men looking for good wives in the Philippines. I believe young men owe it to themselves to consider overseas dating if they want to avoid being alone the rest of their life. That sometimes comes with some pressure and resistance from family, which is what I want to address today. I will use comments I received from a concerned subscriber. He is going to talk about where this family pressure comes from and what a young man can do about it.

Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea and I can show you what works with a woman from the Philippines. I married a Filipina six years and five months ago and this channel details the many aspects of such a relationship you will encounter and I want to help it to go well. You hear me say GWYW now and then, which is Go Where You’re Wanted. For many young men, that very well might be the Philippines. I have a playlist I will link in the description box that has these four videos in it, so far:

How Can a Young Man Impress a Filipina?

Make a Filipina Your First Choice to Marry?

Can a Young Man Find Love in the Philippines?

Should Young Men Join Christian Filipina?

The majority of men I communicate with are young guys in their 20’s and 30’s, so I know there is keen interest in finding love beyond the sea. Watch these videos for the reasons why a young man is an attractive option to a Filipina. Listen to the podcast for my subscriber’s comments, followed by mine.

164-Cost of Loving in the Philippines Monthly Expenses

164-Cost of Loving in the Philippines Monthly Expenses

November 10, 2021

How much does it cost to love a woman in the Philippines? That’s what I want to talk about today, and there are many considerations. Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea where I do my best to explain what I think it’s going to take in order to have a lasting and satisfying marriage to a Filipina. My website is lvbts.com and I have podcasts over there called Casting Beyond The Sea.  I am going to talk about heating expenses, electricity, communication, insurance, entertainment, and savings. Affordability, Location, availability, newer or older, and renting or owning are significant decisions when looking for love in the Philippines.

Being married to a Filipina for almost six and a half years now, I have some knowledge I can share with men who are considering marrying a Filipina and men who are married to a Filipina who just want to hear other men’s experiences. I can tell you that the cost of loving a Filipina is the same no matter the country you are living in. There are many couples where the husband is not “loaded” or rich, but his Filipina wife is happy; I will explain why.

163-10Things Easier Than Expected After Marrying a Filipina

163-10Things Easier Than Expected After Marrying a Filipina

November 7, 2021

There are things one might worry about marrying a woman from a country thousands of miles away, that may also feature a large age gap. There are some major differences with culture and possibly a generation gap, lifestyles etc. That should get some notoriety but today I want to chat with you about the other side of the coin, in our experience, what has been easier than expected.

Please subscribe to Casting Beyond The Sea where I want to educate men about a relationship with a Filipina, so they might consider marrying a woman from the Philippines.

I would have to say our marriage has been easier than expected, but I had been alone for so long I’m not sure I knew what my expectations were. In addition to the differences that I mentioned earlier, I proposed on day 18 and married her just over a month later, so there hadn’t been as much “get-to-know-you-time”, but that’s what we decided to do.

I have to admit I was very excited to go the Philippines to meet her and then marry her.  I didn’t even know what to expect of the Philippines as I knew nothing about it. When she told me where she was from, I read a few articles about Davao City, that it was a safe city and who their mayor was, who would become the president.  I was focused mainly on communicating with her in those days. It was a very exciting time.

To be honest with you, I didn’t go into this relationship with any fear at all. Maybe that was a blessing because I get the impression some guys are terrified that they can never trust a Filipina and are sure to get taken advantage of. Let me add this briefly-I was straight up in my online dating profile that I was looking for someone to marry and think I came across that way in our conversations.

I was aware that scams occurred but wasn’t aware how elaborate they could be, but my wife worked very hard in our wedding preparations, even until the day before the wedding, to get things just right. She had me meet as many of her principal sponsors as possible before the wedding. These are not things I would expect from someone who was going to marry me and then dump me when in America. I trusted that God wasn’t leading me into a trap after all the years I spent praying for a wife.

After being married since May of 2015, I can look back and consider what has been easier than what might have been expected and it seems like it is about everything.
